Halloween is almost here, and you know what’s scarier than “scary” video games? FULL MOTION VIDEO video games. Those things are terrifying. So in honor of the spookiest holiday of the year, we welcomed CollegeHumor’s Jeff Rubin into the office to run down the “top” 5 FMV games from the worst game genre of all time.
It was a bummer to shut New Challenger down, but it wasn’t a hard decision. The show had some bright points, but ultimately none of them required the weekly series format. Also, if I had to be completely honest, I wasn’t into the weekly show format myself. I don’t like producing for a standard studio show. It’s not my thing.
I learned a lot making New Challenger and got to work with and meet a lot of insanely talented people. It was a lot of fun.
Also, after making this I decided I might be better at canceling shows than producing them. I really like this video. A lot. I finally got to live my dream of walking into the ocean in a shirt and tie at the end of a short film.
This week we’re looking at amazing feats of human ingenuity, from placing the whole World of Warcraft in Minecraft, to 100 games about Adventure Time made in 48 hours, to an honest-to-goodness Pokemon MMO.

The man behind Maniac Mansion, Monkey Island, and Deathspank shows me some of his new game- a multicharacter, multiplayer adventure for XBLA.
Last week co-produced, directed, and co-hosted the Revision3 Host Olympics. We grabbed our show teams from Tekzilla, AppJudgment, and Rev3Games to go head-to-head in some very stupid (in the best way) events. It was fun to play idiot sportscaster and there are some truly hilarious moments from all our hosts.
Behind the scenes issues included a heated argument with Jackie about how to properly overfill a water balloon and ironing out the logistics of a dinosaur shoot.
